Celero Raises $275 Million at More Than $3 Billion Valuation
Celero Communications raised a $275 million Series C at a valuation above $3 billion to advance coherent DSPs for AI data-center optical links.
Celero Communications said it raised $275 million in a Series C financing at a valuation of more than $3 billion, bringing its total capital raised to $415 million. The Irvine, California-based company said the financing will accelerate its product roadmap, research and development, and production readiness.
Atreides Management, Valor Equity Partners and Alphabet’s CapitalG co-led the round, with continued participation from Sutter Hill Ventures and Maverick Silicon, according to Celero. Gavin Baker, Atreides’ managing partner and chief investment officer, will join Celero’s board as part of the financing.
Celero develops coherent digital signal processors for optical connections within and between AI data centers. These specialized chips prepare electrical data for transmission as light over fiber, recover it at the receiving end, and correct distortion and transmission errors. The technology is designed to move data between clusters of AI accelerators at high speed.
The company said it has validated what it calls the industry’s first 2-nanometer coherent DSP silicon with advanced analog technology. Celero said the architecture is intended to support optical interconnects from 1.6 terabits per second to a next-generation 3.2 terabits per second. It did not disclose a commercial shipping date, customers or production volume. The research for this story found no independent public technical validation of the industry-first claim.
The financing follows other large rounds tied to AI infrastructure, including Crusoe’s reported funding round. It also follows news that Lumilens emerged from stealth with funding for technology intended to connect AI processors with light.
The round comes after a November 2025 funding announcement in which Celero disclosed $140 million in prior financing: a $100 million Series B led by CapitalG and $40 million across seed and Series A rounds led by Sutter Hill Ventures. Founded in 2024, Celero is headquartered in Irvine and operates design centers in Canada and Argentina, according to the company.
