Collibra launches runtime governance tools for enterprise AI agents

Collibra announced Maestro, Live Map, Agent Contracts and Guardian Agents for enterprise AI agents on September 25. Maestro is accessible now, Agent Contracts and Guardian Agents are due in October, and Live Map is opening to a limited design-partner group this quarter.

The rollout is staggered. Maestro Studio and Maestro Assistant are in public preview. Agent Contracts and Guardian Agents are scheduled to become available through AI Command Center in October. Live Map is not generally available; Collibra says it will open to a small group of design partners during the quarter.

Built on Collibra’s enterprise Knowledge Graph, Maestro brings the company’s AI capabilities into a governance-automation suite. Studio gives teams a visual interface for configuring agents, including their personas, permissions, tools and certified knowledge sources. Assistant provides a natural-language interface for published agents. Collibra’s September release notes list Maestro as a public preview for commercial environments.

Live Map is designed to build a reusable context graph from curated unstructured documents. According to Collibra, the graph records entities, their relationships and changes to those relationships so agents can retrieve prepared enterprise context.

Agent Contracts translate governance requirements into machine-readable instructions. A global contract can set fleet-wide rules, while specialized contracts can add requirements based on an agent’s function, risk profile or operating context.

Guardian Agents apply those contracts at runtime, according to Collibra. The company says a guardian can flag or escalate an issue or block an unauthorized action.

Collibra positions Agent Contracts and Guardian Agents as controls for agents built outside its platform as well as those operating within it. A company product explanation says the contracts are independent of a specific runtime and that Agent Contracts will reach customers through AI Command Center by the end of October 2026.

Collibra’s announcement did not disclose pricing, an exact October release date for Guardian Agents, the size of the Live Map design-partner group or general-availability dates for the preview products.
