Dassault Systèmes to buy life-sciences AI firm ArisGlobal for up to $2 billion
Dassault Systèmes agreed to acquire life-sciences compliance platform ArisGlobal for about $1.8 billion cash, plus up to $200 million tied to AI-revenue milestones.
Dassault Systèmes agreed to acquire ArisGlobal, an AI-native life-sciences compliance platform, for about $1.8 billion in cash plus up to $200 million tied to multi-year AI-revenue milestones.
The French software maker said the definitive agreement is meant to connect molecule, patient and real-world outcomes data across drug development and safety. ArisGlobal’s software handles regulatory and pharmacovigilance work, and Dassault said it will fold the platform into its life-sciences business.
ArisGlobal serves more than 200 customers, including half of the top 50 global biopharma companies, and processes more than 12 million patient safety reports a year, according to Dassault. The company employs over 1,300 people and is expected to generate $175 million in revenue in 2026.
The deal fits a broader push to embed AI into the regulated, document-heavy workflows of drug safety and compliance, where errors carry legal and patient-harm consequences. Owning a platform already used across big pharma gives Dassault a data spine to sell AI tooling into an industry that adopts it cautiously.
Dassault said it will fund the purchase entirely with cash on its balance sheet and expects the transaction to close in the second half of 2026, subject to customary conditions. The $175 million revenue figure and customer counts are the company’s own; the acquisition’s payoff depends on retaining ArisGlobal’s biopharma base through the integration.
