Ema raises $77 million Series B for enterprise AI workers
Ema raised a $77 million Series B led by Creaegis to expand its go-to-market team, develop its enterprise AI worker platform and enter additional international markets.
Ema raised $77 million in a Series B led by Creaegis. The company plans to use the money to expand its go-to-market organization, continue developing its enterprise AI worker platform and enter additional markets in APAC and EMEA. Returning investors Accel, S32 and Prosus increased their investments.
Ema said the round lifts its total funding to $140 million and puts its valuation at more than four times the level of its previous round. It did not disclose the new valuation. The company describes its platform as AI workers that plan and carry out tasks across existing HR, IT and finance applications, check their work and route approvals, while leaving critical decisions to people.
The financing follows TypeSafe AI’s $40 million seed round and launch of Jev in DataPhoenix’s recent coverage of enterprise AI funding.
Alongside the funding news, Ema released deployment figures that have not been independently audited in the opened sources. The company says its employee assistant at Wipro supports more than 240,000 associates in 65 countries, automates more than 100 workflows and handles about 2.9 million employee queries each year. Ema also credits the deployment with faster response times and a 20% increase in employee satisfaction.
For an unnamed top-five global business-process outsourcing provider, Ema says its system handles more than 1 million IT service-management tickets and more than 1 million calls a year in over 15 languages. It claims accuracy of up to 95% and says fewer than 10% of interactions are escalated to a person.
Ema says another customer, an unnamed $50 billion global conglomerate, went from concept to production in four weeks, connected more than 20 systems and served more than 40,000 employees. The company attributes a 70% efficiency improvement and a 30% drop in ticket volume to the deployment. Its official announcement does not name the customer.
In its funding announcement, Ema said revenue grew 50-fold over the past 24 months and customers, on average, double their initial spending within 12 months. The growth and retention figures are company-reported.
