Forus Raises $150 Million in Series C at $3 Billion Valuation
Forus said it raised $150 million in a Series C led by Bain Capital Ventures, valuing the healthcare automation company at $3 billion.
Forus announced $150 million in Series C financing at a $3 billion valuation. The healthcare automation company said the round pushed its total funding past $300 million.
Bain Capital Ventures led the financing and has backed Forus since its seed round, the company said. According to Forus, every existing institutional investor also reinvested: Thrive Capital, General Catalyst, Accel, Redpoint, BoxGroup, Pear VC, Vast Ventures and SV Angel.
Forus describes its product as a network of AI agents embedded in healthcare-provider workflows. The agents are designed to handle multi-step tasks between a clinician’s decision and a patient starting treatment, including insurance authorization, financial-assistance programs and medication supply chains.
Previously known as Tandem, the company introduced the Forus name in May. Forus says providers use its platform in all 50 states and that it supports patients in 85% of U.S. residential ZIP codes; those operating figures have not been independently verified.
Forus said it plans to use the new capital to expand across medical specialties and care settings, extend its AI agents across more of the treatment-access process and invest in its team.
