Meta launches Enterprise Platform and names CJ Desai to lead it

Meta launched Meta Enterprise Platform on September 28 as a new enterprise AI business. Chirantan “CJ” Desai will join the company as Chief Enterprise Platform Officer and report directly to founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

The new organization gives Meta a dedicated business unit for turning its AI technology into products and services for companies. Meta said the platform will draw on its advanced models, agents and large-scale infrastructure. Its initial lineup includes the Muse agent, Meta Business Agent, Muse API, Muse Code and other technology for businesses and developers.

Desai said the group will focus on making Meta’s AI stack deployable within customers’ own businesses. Meta did not disclose pricing, identify which products are immediately available, explain how they will work together or detail the service terms and administrative controls customers would receive.

Meta also said security and privacy are being built into its enterprise products from the outset. The announcement did not provide technical specifications or describe contractual safeguards, access controls or other enterprise security features.

Desai brings experience running and building enterprise software businesses. MongoDB said it appointed him president and chief executive effective November 10, 2025. Before MongoDB, he led product and engineering at Cloudflare and previously served as president and chief operating officer at ServiceNow. Meta did not specify when he will begin the new role.
