Nvidia said it has committed nearly $10 billion across Europe’s technology ecosystem, pairing the figure with planned investments in nine startups in France and the U.K.. The company has not disclosed how much of the Europe-wide total has been invested, contracted or deployed, making the figure a stated commitment rather than evidence of completed spending.

The chipmaker named four intended recipients in France—Doctolib, Entalpic, Genesis AI and Pigment—and five in the U.K.—Boltz, Foresight, Hiverge, Prima Mente and Riverlane. The five U.K. startup plans cover biomolecular modeling, infrastructure-project forecasting, automated algorithm discovery, biological foundation models and quantum error correction. Nvidia described all nine transactions as planned.

Nvidia’s announcements did not specify investment amounts, ownership stakes, valuations, transaction structures or closing dates. The company also did not provide a full list of investments counted toward the nearly $10 billion total or a time period for completing the commitment.

Separately, Nvidia announced a five-year U.K. compute donation valued at $250 million, structured as $50 million in compute access per year for agentic AI safety and security research. The U.K. AI safety compute commitment remains subject to provider selection, technical architecture and commercial terms, and Nvidia did not say whether it is included in the nearly $10 billion Europe total.
