Scale AI formally launched a UAE entity during the Dubai AI Festival on October 26, naming the Dubai International Financial Centre as what the company calls its local home. The move gives Scale a formal operating base in the country, although the announcement did not provide the entity’s legal name, registration number or staffing level.

Scale said the base puts its UAE presence on a permanent footing and will support work with institutions, partners and local talent. It said that work will focus on making AI systems operate reliably in Arabic, meet local governance requirements and retain human oversight where decisions require it. The company also plans to train local teams to operate, evaluate and improve those systems.

The UAE launch follows an October 8 memorandum of understanding with Presight. The companies said they will explore agentic AI applications for UAE government and enterprise customers, including evaluation, governance, emergency response and scenario simulation. The MoU describes potential collaboration; neither company identified a signed customer deployment, contract value or delivery timetable.

DIFC said the Dubai AI Festival runs October 26–27 at Dubai World Trade Centre and listed Scale Global Managing Director Trevor Thompson among its speakers. Separately, DIFC describes its AI Licence as a commercial licence for firms setting up in the region, with a certificate and licence issued after registration. That general process does not independently confirm Scale’s registration particulars.

Scale did not disclose a UAE investment amount, office size, hiring target, named customer or delivery schedule in its launch announcement.
