Sea says it plans ASEAN’s first enterprise adoption of NVIDIA Vera Rubin

Sea said it plans to become the first enterprise in Southeast Asia to adopt NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform, committing to new AI infrastructure for its Shopee, Monee and Garena businesses.

This is a commitment to adopt the platform, not delivered computing capacity. Sea said the investment is intended to give its teams more computing capability to develop AI models and intelligent agents at scale. NVIDIA separately described Sea as the first enterprise adopter in ASEAN and said the platform would support broader AI deployment across the group.

NVIDIA describes Vera Rubin as a rack-scale AI computing platform that combines components including Vera CPUs and Rubin GPUs for training and running AI systems. Sea and NVIDIA expect the platform to help Sea develop and deploy models and agents at greater scale, but those benefits remain prospective. Sea said it already uses AI across its three main businesses: Shopee for product-listing creation, discovery and customer engagement; Monee for fraud detection and credit-risk assessment; and Garena to enhance gaming experiences.

Sea attributed a 14% year-on-year improvement in first-quarter purchase conversion to Shopee’s AI-generated content tools. It also said recent enhancements to Monee’s credit-risk models raised approval rates by about 10% while maintaining a similar risk level. These are Sea’s figures and do not reflect results from Vera Rubin.

Neither company disclosed how many Vera Rubin systems Sea plans to adopt, their configuration, the contract value, a delivery schedule or a production launch date.
