Solink raises more than $100 million for AI video platform
Solink raised more than $100 million in a Vertu Capital-led round to expand its AI video platform, product development and customer service.
Solink raised more than $100 million in new funding, with Vertu Capital leading the round. Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives also participated materially; Golub Growth and Comcast Ventures joined as new investors.
Solink said it plans to use the proceeds to advance its AI roadmap, support customer service and product development, and pursue expansion through unspecified strategic opportunities. The announcement did not disclose the exact amount raised, the company’s valuation or whether the transaction included secondary share sales.
Based in Ottawa, Solink says its software connects to existing cameras and turns video into operational data for retailers, restaurants, warehouses and other businesses with physical locations. The company says the platform manages about 500,000 cameras across more than 35,000 locations in 65 countries. The supplied evidence did not independently audit those adoption figures.
Part of Solink’s product roadmap centers on vision-language models, systems designed to process images or video together with written prompts. In March, the company said its VerifEye product uses vision-language models to filter likely false alarms before security teams review events. The supplied evidence included no independent evaluation of the feature’s performance.
Solink also says its platform can help customers reduce losses, improve safety and performance, and identify revenue opportunities. The supplied evidence did not independently establish those outcomes. The funding announcement included no revenue or revenue-growth figures.
Solink previously closed a $60 million Series C in July 2023, led by the Growth Equity business within Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
