Verda raises $189 million Series B to expand its European AI cloud

AI cloud provider Verda has raised a $189 million Series B round led by Emergence Capital. The company said in a blog post it will put the money toward expanding its AI compute and platform services.

Verda says its total funding to date, equity and debt combined, now exceeds $450 million. The company also reported an annualized revenue run rate of $165 million as of July 2026.

Participants in the round include MUFG Innovation Partners, Supermicro, Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company, Lifeline Ventures, 6 Degrees Capital, byFounders and Tesi, along with angel investors including Ola Tørudbakken and Mark Saroufim.

Verda says data center capacity in the UK and the US is coming online alongside its existing operations in Finland, with further expansion planned in Europe and Asia. It anticipates more than 250 megawatts of operations by 2027, a target it set itself.

Aleph Alpha, Magnific and Epsilon Health are among the customers Verda names, and the company says it serves workloads in more than 50 countries.

“There’s a window right now to build one of the defining compute companies of this generation, and to do so from Europe. It won’t be open for long,” founder and CEO Ruben Bryon said in the company’s post.
