Western Digital reported $4.381 billion in revenue for its fiscal first quarter of 2027, up 55% from $2.818 billion a year earlier, and forecast about $5.1 billion for the next quarter. The guidance indicates that the company expects its recent storage-revenue growth to continue into fiscal Q2.

For fiscal Q2 2027, Western Digital expects revenue of $5.1 billion, plus or minus $100 million. It also projects a non-GAAP gross margin of 60% to 61% and non-GAAP diluted earnings of $5.80 per share, plus or minus $0.20. These estimates are forward-looking company guidance.

Fiscal Q1 revenue also rose 17% sequentially. Western Digital reported a GAAP gross margin of 57.8% and a non-GAAP gross margin of 58.1%, as well as $1.604 billion in operating cash flow and $1.377 billion in company-defined non-GAAP free cash flow.

Chief Financial Officer Kris Sennesael attributed the quarter’s performance to robust exabyte growth and improved pricing. CEO Irving Tan said Western Digital was navigating technology transitions to meet rising storage demand.

The board also raised Western Digital’s quarterly cash dividend 17% to $0.175 per share. The dividend is payable December 17, 2026, to shareholders of record at the close of business on December 4.
