Quora's Poe can now create web apps directly on the chat interface
Quora's AI chatbot platform Poe has introduced Previews, which allows users to create and share interactive web apps directly within chat interfaces with multi-chatbot, file upload, and video input support.
Poe, Quora's chatbot aggregator platform, was recently enhanced with Previews, a capability that allows users to create interactive web applications directly within chats. Users can leverage Poe to build custom interactive apps, regardless of their programming expertise. Games, interactive animations, drag-and-drop interfaces, and data visualizations can be created simply by describing the desired output in the chat interface. Previews can be enhanced by leveraging existing Poe features such as multi-bot chat, file upload, and video input. Created apps can be easily shared via links.
There is some similarity between Previews and Anthropic's Artifacts, a Claude feature announced not long ago. However, Previews' key differentiator from Anthropic's Artifacts is that while the latter only works with Anthropic's Claude models, Previews delivers HTML output support with CSS and JavaScript functionality across all of Poe's available chatbots, which in addition to Anthropic's Claude also include LLMs from Google and OpenAI, among others. Quora does advise that using Previews with models proficient in programming, such as Claude 3.5 Sonnet, GPT-4o, and Google's Gemini 1.5 Pro, leads to optimal results.
Some Quora-provided demos showcase the potential of Previews using Claude 3.5 Sonnet and GPT 4o. The feature is available for all Poe users. However, making the most of the Previews capability by leveraging some of the latest or larger models like GPT-4o or Claude 3 Opus, faster speeds, and higher message limits require a subscription.
