Apolitical received a $5M grant from Google.org to expand its Government AI Campus program
Apolitical's Government AI Campus, a knowledge hub for civil servants, has received a $5 million grant from Google.org to expand its AI education offerings. The platform aims to reach one million public sector workers within two years.
Apolitical's Government AI Campus is a knowledge and learning hub for governments and civil servants where Apolitical offers several resources on AI applications and governance, including online courses, exchanges with experts and thought leaders, in-person meetings, and insight briefings in over 10 languages. Supported by Stanford Online's content and initial funding from Google.org and the Rockefeller Foundation, the Government AI Campus' pilot phase trained 13,000 public servants to help governments keep up with AI's impressively fast pace.
In its next growth stage, Apolitical wants to reach one million workers within the next two years, a mission that will be boosted and supported by the $5 million Google.org grant. Apolitical plans to leverage the funding to expand the AI Campus offerings with five new courses, more briefings and convenings for senior decision-makers, a thought leadership series, and an expanded selection of tools and frameworks for government decision-makers. Moreover, the funding will also enable Apolitical to adapt the AI Campus content to country-specific contexts, including translation, the development of country-specific case studies, and consultations with local and regional AI experts.
