Cognizant becomes Anthropic's top-tier Claude partner, citing 30,000 trained staff

Cognizant has become a Global Premier Partner in Anthropic’s Claude Partner Network, the top tier, after training more than 30,000 of its associates on Claude, the companies said July 27, 2026.

The IT-services firm is embedding Claude, including the Claude Code coding tool and agentic tooling, into its own platforms – Flowsource, Neuro AI Engineering and Neuro IT Ops – for manufacturing, life-sciences, insurance, financial-services and telecom clients. Cognizant said it is targeting 5,000 Frontier Certified Engineers and 10,000 Frontier Business Operators, with roughly 40,000 professionals already in the certification pipeline.

The pitch is measurable productivity. Cognizant cited a customer-experience portal delivered within six months, contract-review time cut by up to 40% with over 88% extraction accuracy, and underwriting research shortened from hours to about a minute, saving roughly eight hours a week per user.

Those figures are the company’s own, drawn from its deployments and not independently verified, and vendor productivity numbers routinely flatter the tool. “AI capability is rising faster than enterprises can absorb it, and that gap is the defining problem of this moment,” Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar S said. Anthropic co-founder and president Daniela Amodei said the deepened partnership will help companies “deploy it in real, practical ways.”

For Anthropic, locking in a systems integrator with hundreds of thousands of staff is a distribution channel into enterprises it cannot reach directly; for Cognizant, Claude certifications are a way to sell AI transformation work.

Whether the 30,000 trained associates translate into signed client deployments, or stay a training statistic, is what to watch.
