IBM has launched IBM Ready for SAP Solutions, a packaged cloud ERP modernization offer for midsize and growing organizations that combines SAP software with IBM consulting services. It gives customers a predefined route to SAP Cloud ERP instead of a fully custom implementation.

IBM said the offer is currently available only in limited countries and for specific industries, but did not name those markets or sectors. The company plans to expand it to additional industries and markets, although it gave no timetable, pricing or commercial terms.

The package combines fixed-scope industry configurations, a fit-to-standard delivery model, Cognitus methodology and IBM Consulting Advantage, according to IBM. The IBM Ready for SAP Solutions product page describes the offer as a way to standardize core business processes and establish a data foundation for future automation.

IBM’s AI-readiness framing and the expected automation benefits remain vendor claims. IBM has not documented realized AI outcomes from the customer deployments named in the announcement.

For its customer examples, IBM pointed to Volumetric Building Companies and Second Nature Brands. The company said Volumetric completed an SAP Cloud ERP implementation in three months and reduced operational cycle times by 50% across purchasing, manufacturing and inventory. IBM provided the figure without an independently published methodology or underlying data.

Second Nature Brands said its SAP Cloud ERP transformation helped integrate the Voortman Bakery business and expand a common enterprise platform. An official J.M. Smucker notice on the transaction confirms that the sale of Voortman to Second Nature Brands closed on December 2, 2024, but does not verify the timing or scope of the ERP project.

SAP describes GROW Fast as a predefined, industry-based SAP Cloud ERP service delivered by certified partners with prescribed scope, methodology and pricing. IBM’s offer pairs that standardized implementation approach with its Cognitus methodology and consulting platform.
