Mistlabs launches Ambi for Macs after $26 million Pre-A round

Mistlabs has launched Ambi out of beta and disclosed $26 million in Pre-A funding led by Luminous Ventures and Huaqin. The company said the financing will fund work on a standalone wearable.

Ambi is currently downloadable for Macs with Apple silicon, according to the company’s live download page. The page lists iOS and Android versions as “coming soon,” despite the release’s claim that Ambi is initially available across iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac and MacBook. It does not separately document Apple Watch availability.

Mistlabs describes Ambi as an ambient-intelligence system that uses context approved by a user from conversations, screens and connected tools to anticipate tasks. The company says the software retains context across devices and uses multiple specialized agents, called Routines, for recurring work. This design places Ambi among AI agents that handle personal data, but the opened evidence does not independently test its claimed reasoning, memory or privacy behavior.

Mistlabs also says it plans to add agent-to-agent communication in the coming months. The proposed feature would allow separate Ambi agents to exchange context permitted by users to identify shared priorities or disagreements during meetings. It remains a company plan, not a demonstrated capability.

The opened sources did not disclose the round’s valuation, closing date or investors beyond the two named leads. They also contained no separate confirmation from either lead investor.

Mistlabs says the planned wearable would give Ambi more information about a user and the surrounding environment. Its timing remains unsettled: the October 12 release said the device was set to follow later in 2026, while Ambi’s current product page says the hardware will be available in early 2027.
