Mueon has raised $65 million in a Series A round led by Maverick Silicon to expand engineering and operations and move its modular Cubelets system toward broader validation and production readiness.

Mueon says the funding will also support deeper customer engagements. Intel Capital, Geodesic Alliances Fund, Oregon Venture Fund, M-Ventures, Wellington Capital, IQT and Defined also participated in the round. The company still describes Cubelets as a platform in development, not as a production-ready system.

Mueon describes Cubelets as three-dimensional building blocks that integrate compute, memory, interconnects, power delivery and thermal management at the system level. In the company’s account, the design puts compute and memory closer together to reduce the distance data must travel, while treating packaging, networking, power and cooling as one system rather than separate subsystems. According to Mueon, development spans silicon and system architecture, advanced integration, software and orchestration, and validation with technology, manufacturing and industry partners.

The company is targeting as much as a tenfold improvement in power and cost efficiency within the same rack footprint, and it says the design could scale toward megawatt-class density. Those remain company targets, not independently validated results: the available sources include no test report, benchmark methodology or measured performance data. Mueon also has not disclosed named customers, deployments, manufacturing partners, validation milestones, production dates or shipment volumes.

That integration challenge is becoming more pressing as AI hardware puts greater strain on rack-level power and cooling. The International Energy Agency found that global data-center electricity demand rose 17% in 2025, while electricity use by AI-focused data centers increased 50%. It also said AI-server power density increased elevenfold from 2020 to 2025 and projected another fourfold increase by 2027.

Mueon previously announced a $15.5 million seed round in September 2025 and says the Series A brings its total capital raised to more than $80 million. Maverick Silicon senior managing director Manish Muthal will join Mueon’s board alongside Intel Capital managing director Srini Ananth, according to the company.
