Spotify launches AI Playlist beta for Premium users in Australia and the UK
Spotify is releasing AI Playlist as a beta feature for Premium users in Australia and the UK. AI Playlist lets users create and refine personalized playlists via text-based prompts on a chat interface.
Spotify's new AI Playlist lets users create and refine personalized playlists by typing a custom prompts into a chat interface. Playlist prompts can include references to places, animals, activities, movie characters, colors, and emoji. However, Spotify recommends including a combination of genres, moods, artists, or decades to increase the odds of success. Qualifying users in Australia and the UK can find AI Playlist by tapping the "+" button in the top-right corner of the app to get started. Once the playlists are ready, songs can be manually previewed and deleted, or the overall selection of tracks can be refined using additional prompts. Although Spotify specified that it plans to iterate on AI Playlist over the coming months, there is no indication that the beta program will be expanded to other locations soon.
