Czech startup Adam is the latest startup focused on modernizing the workflows of small businesses and tradespeople. Adam connects home renovation professionals and customers with a one-click service that avoids wait times and price lists to improve the customer experience. According to co-founder Roman Sysel, Adam aims to simultaneously tackle the challenges of providing quality, availability, and transparent pricing while providing a hassle-free experience for both customers and professionals.

Now that Adam has raised €3 million in a funding round led by European edtech VC Brighteye, the company plans to extend its coverage, which currently spans 11 European countries, outside Europe. The company will also expand the range of services it advertises since it is currently focused on painting services and apartment renovations. Adam also plans to build a development team focused on enhancing automation to continue improving its customer experience.

The company's innovative online calculator provides instant, transparent cost estimates, allowing customers to book services with a single click. Adam connects customers with available professionals and ensures the job is completed successfully. Reportedly, over 15,000 projects have been completed through the platform, tripling its year-on-year growth. Co-founder Roman Sysel envisions a future where customers can build an entire house through Adam.

As the company sees it, it is modernizing an industry long due for a refresh for the benefit of the craftsmen, who can access new professional development opportunities, and the customers looking for high-quality services.
