The Amazon Bedrock Studio is an SSO-enabled, web-based development interface that accelerates the development of generative AI applications and promotes team collaboration by providing a fast prototyping environment featuring access to foundation models and essential Amazon Bedrock tools, including Knowledge Bases, Agents, and Guardrails. Amazon Bedrock Studio is free of charge, since developers and organizations only pay for Bedrock usage (as in API calls or Knowledge Base hosting). AWS administrators who wish to enable Bedrock Studio only need to log in to Bedrock in the AWS Management Console, configure one or more workspaces, and add users or teams permissions. Once a workspace is configured, developers with access permission can log instantly into the workspace with their company credentials.

Amazon Bedrock Studio provides all the tools needed for developers to build accurate and relevant generative AI applications. First, the availability of foundation models enables developers to pick the model best suited for their requirements and experiment with improving prompts to get more accurate answers, securely connecting private data sources and adding relevant APIs. Moreover, this all happens within the designated AWS account so both the applications and connected data remain secure and private. Since the managed resources related to an app (Knowledge Bases, Agents, Guardrails) are deployed automatically, developers do not have to worry about the corresponding infrastructure. And since all resources are also available via the Bedrock API, apps can be integrated with those resources using the API.

Bedrock Studio is currently available as a preview in AWS Regions US East (N. Virginia) and US West (Oregon). To get started, Amazon has published a user guide and a tutorial.
