Anthropic announced a $30 billion Series G funding round, more than doubling its previous valuation from $183 billion to $380 billion. The round was led by Singaporean sovereign wealth fund GIC and Coatue, with D. E. Shaw Ventures, Founders Fund, ICONIQ, and MGX co-leading. Notable participants include Accel, General Catalyst, Jane Street, and the Qatar Investment Authority.

The raise reflects remarkable business momentum. Anthropic's run-rate revenue has reached $14 billion, growing over 10x annually for three consecutive years. Eight of the Fortune 10 are now Claude customers, and the number of businesses spending over $1 million annually has grown from a dozen two years ago to over 500 today.

Claude Code has emerged as a standout product, reaching over $2.5 billion in run-rate revenue—more than doubling since the start of 2026. A recent analysis estimated that 4% of all public GitHub commits worldwide were authored by Claude Code, double the figure from just one month prior.

The funding will support frontier research, infrastructure expansion, and product development. Claude remains the only frontier model available across all three major cloud platforms: AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. The company also recently launched Opus 4.6, its newest model, which leads the GDPval-AA benchmark for economically valuable knowledge work.

The raise comes as rival OpenAI is reportedly seeking $100 billion in additional funding at an $830 billion valuation, underscoring the intense competition and enormous capital flows shaping the AI industry.
