Italian startup Aptus.AI recently announced the conclusion of its pre-Series A round, in which the company raised 3 million euros. VC firm P101 SGR, one of the leading firms in Italy specializing in funding innovative and technology-driven companies, led the funding round via its Programma 103 fund. There was also participation by some angel investors and returning investors Fin+Tech, the accelerator of CDP Venture Capital, who also participated in Aptus.AI's seed funding round.
Aptus.AI's product is the Daitomic platform, a RegTech platform that generates machine-readable versions of regulation documents so enterprises can build a personalized "legal inventory" of accessible legal data in an interactive format. Once the data is machine-readable, Daitomic can also offer streamlined impact analyses and regulatory trends recognition, which can help enterprises increase their productivity by making better compliance decisions. The platform also automates the collection and analysis of regulatory updates, which means that users will always have up-to-date information on which to base their predictions about regulation impact on business.
In addition to announcing this successful funding round, Aptus.AI has taken impressive steps toward becoming a leader in the RegTech sector. From its partnership with Intesa Sanpaolo, which claims it is the first European bank to apply AI to regulatory analysis, to the selection of the startup's Chat-EUR-Lex project, an AI-powered chatbot able to provide information and explanations of the Eur-LEX, which is the EU's regulatory database, by the NGI Search Open Call, Aptus.AI certainly has a bright future ahead of it.
