Asana's new AI teammates will revolutionize how teams work with AI
Asana introduced AI Teammates that can advise teams on priorities, take action to execute workflows, and adapt based on a team's operations, to integrate AI securely and transparently into existing work processes across use cases like product launches and marketing campaigns.
Asana recently introduced the next step in its AI journey, the Asana AI Teammates. Unveiled at the company's first annual Work Innovation Summit in San Francisco, the AI teammates are designed to seamlessly integrate into teams' existing workflows, providing advice, taking action, and continuously adapting to optimize efficiency. To do all this, the AI Teammates leverage Asana's proprietary Work Graph data model, which links work and workflows to higher-level company objectives, enabling the AI to operate with relevant context and transparency. Furthermore, Asana is working on introducing an AI chat interface next month, allowing team members to improve their understanding of the most important details in a particular project or workflow.
The Asana AI Teammates are currently in beta, but early adopters, including Clear Channel Outdoor and Relex, have already experienced the transformative power of the AI-powered teammates. Jennifer Korodosky, VP of Creative and Marketing Ops at Clear Channel Outdoor, praised the AI's ability to streamline work, allowing creatives to focus on their core tasks. Another customer is leveraging Asana's AI Teammates to craft marketing content, translate content using an internal brand terms library, highlight important information on incoming requests to enhance the prioritization process, and enforce naming conventions to ensure cross-tool compatibility.
The feedback from Asana's customers is also a testament to the AI Teammates' flexibility: the AI-powered assistants can be tailored for various roles, industries, and processes. Most importantly, as with any other AI-powered tool, Asana advises prospective users to always keep a human in the loop. This is so human teams can track how the AI is used in particular actions and decision-making processes. Asana has opened an AI Teammates beta waitlist here.
