Harmonyze secured $2M to transform franchise operations with AI
AI startup Harmonyze has secured over $2 million in pre-seed funding to expand its AI-powered platform that automates and streamlines franchise operations, potentially transforming the $5 trillion global franchise market by increasing efficiency and profitability.
Harmonyze, a company developing AI-powered agents that sit in private cloud networks between franchisors and their franchisees to support operational compliance, mitigate risks, foster experimentation, and help businesses become more profitable, recently announced it completed a $2 million pre-seed funding round led by Bowery Capital, with participation from Focal.VC and notable industry executives.
The company was founded by Gary Liskovich (currently CEO) and Jonny Greenspan (current CTO), who have a combined 10 years of experience building AI-powered products and leading teams at companies and startups including Deloitte, Salesforce, and SmartAsset. Greenspan and Liskovich were looking to dabble in the legal space before they realized the untapped potential of the franchising market, and industry set to reach a $5 trillion value by 2028.
Like many enterprise AI-powered solutions, the Harmonyze AI-powered agents' ultimate aim is to save businesses, and operations leaders especially, valuable time by streamlining and automating compliance tasks that have traditionally been performed manually, and that have to be tracked across multiple locations. Automating these tasks should leave enough time for teams to dedicate to revenue-increasing strategic work, including developing closer franchisor-franchisee relationships, brand-building activities, and product development.
The company claims it has seen significant interest after just one year in operations. Early adopter The Picklr, the fastest growing indoor pickleball franchise in the world, successfully leveraged Harmonyze's agents to fully automate over 200 compliance and legal tasks, increasing team productivity by over 10%. The raised funding will enable Harmonyze to build on these early success stories by making it possible for the company to grow its engineering and commercial teams to expand its market presence and accelerate product development.
