Metomic, a London-based data privacy and security company, recently announced a successful funding round, raising $20 million in a Series A funding round.
The round is led by Evolution Equity Partners with participation from Resonance and Connect Ventures, and Metomic plans to use the investment to expand its team and invest in its product for protecting sensitive data in SaaS applications. It will also enable Metomic to double down on its artificial intelligence technology, furthering its mission to enable secure, more compliant data sharing in Software as a Service (SaaS) ecosystems.
Metomic's solution is a granular approach to data protection that provides enterprises with a range of functions, including data discovery and classification, access control, monitoring, reporting, and potential vulnerability detection. It works in SaaS collaboration applications, including Google Apps, Slack, Jira, and Zendesk, by connecting to the data layer of these popular work tools.
Metomic is already working with a number of high-profile customers, including fintech companies and healthcare organizations, and continues to invest in its product to meet the growing demand for data privacy and security solutions.
