Databricks adds Meta ads MCP server to its Marketplace
Databricks says its Marketplace now lists Meta’s ads MCP server, connecting more than 25 campaign tools with Genie One workflows and governance controls.
Databricks has added Meta’s ads Model Context Protocol server to Databricks Marketplace, giving customers a connector between Meta campaign tools and data governed on the Databricks platform. Model Context Protocol, or MCP, is a standard that lets AI applications call external tools and data sources.
Databricks says the server offers more than 25 tools for creating campaigns and ad sets, managing budgets and bids, working with audiences, creative and catalogs, reporting on performance, and diagnosing signal quality. Teams can connect the server to Genie One, the company says, allowing marketers to use natural-language requests to examine Meta campaign results alongside governed business data and invoke advertising tools in the same conversation.
According to Databricks documentation, some connected MCP tools can perform write actions. What they can do depends on the tool, the OAuth scopes granted by the user, source permissions, and the organization’s configuration. The Meta connection fits into Databricks’ Genie One MCP and Unity Gateway setup.
Two Databricks governance layers sit behind the connection. External MCP servers are registered as MCP Services, making them Unity Catalog securables whose access can be controlled with Unity Catalog permissions. Unity Gateway authorizes and routes MCP tool calls and records usage and audit logs. Databricks says Unity Gateway can also apply service policies, including approval requirements; those service policies are in beta, while Unity Gateway and Unity Catalog asset governance are generally available. For external MCP Services, Databricks documentation says a Unity Catalog HTTP connection stores the endpoint and credentials while a managed proxy handles authentication and token refresh.
Databricks positions the integration as a way to move more quickly from customer insight to campaign action while reducing manual exports and handoffs. The reviewed evidence did not independently measure those workflow or campaign-performance benefits. The announcement did not specify pricing, rollout eligibility, service-level commitments, or region-by-region availability for this specific Meta listing.
