Omacom says SpaceXAI contributed $1.5 million in Grok tokens
Omacom says SpaceXAI contributed $1.5 million in Grok tokens to power agents and support teams maintaining the open-source Omarchy Linux project.
Omacom Foundation said SpaceXAI joined as a founding corporate patron on October 8, contributing what the foundation valued at $1.5 million in Grok tokens to support Omarchy, its open-source Linux project. Both the valuation and the contribution terms come from Omacom. The reviewed materials included no separate SpaceXAI announcement confirming the transfer.
Omacom said the tokens will power automated agents using Grok 4.7 and later models. Among them is Omabot, which reviews incoming pull requests. The foundation said Omarchy teams could also use the allocation for bug hunting, theme work, hardware ports and other backlog tasks.
SpaceXAI’s Grok 4.7 documentation describes the model as API-accessible and built for coding, agentic tasks and knowledge work. The contribution provides access to model usage rather than a disclosed cash payment. Omacom has not published the number of tokens, its valuation method, or the redemption and expiration terms.
Omacom’s patron page defines the founding corporate tier as either $1 million annually for three years or $1.5 million in tokens with an option for refill. The public materials do not specify refill conditions for SpaceXAI.
Omacom describes itself as the nonprofit that funds Omarchy’s development, maintenance and expansion. The project’s public repository describes Omarchy as a Linux distribution released under the MIT License. Omacom said the SpaceXAI pledge brought the foundation’s total backing to approximately $23.2 million.
The reviewed public materials also contain no signed agreement and do not confirm the contribution’s transfer status.
