Salesforce has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Convergence.ai, a company specializing in advanced AI agents capable of performing complex tasks in digital environments. The acquisition will bolster Salesforce's Agentforce platform, a cornerstone of the company's AI strategy.

Convergence.ai's technology stands out for its ability to navigate dynamic interfaces and adapt to real-time challenges like pop-ups, errors, and UI changes, mimicking human-like problem-solving in digital workflows.

"The next wave of customer interaction and employee productivity will be driven by highly capable AI agents that can navigate the complexities of today's digital work," said Adam Evans, EVP & GM of Salesforce AI Platform.

Marvin Purtorab, Convergence's CEO, noted: "The future of business automation lies in end-to-end, decision-driven workflows where multiple agents collaborate and hand off seamlessly."

The acquisition also signals Salesforce's investment in London's AI ecosystem, with plans to establish a world-class AI R&D center with Convergence forming its nucleus.

The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of Salesforce's fiscal year 2026, subject to customary conditions. Financial details have not been disclosed.
