AI Ad creation tool developed by META
Meta, the owner of Facebook, plans to join Google in commercializing its own generative artificial intelligence by the end of the year. The company, which started conducting extensive AI research in 2013, stands out with Google in terms of the quantity of studies released.
Meta's chief technology officer, Andrew Bosworth, stated that the company has been investing in artificial intelligence for more than ten years and has one of the top research institutes in the world. Hundreds of people work for our sizable research organization.
This is the first time Meta has provided a schedule for commercialization after announcing in February that it would create an entirely new entity to work on generative AI.
OpenAI, the American company that created ChatGPT, has already begun to commercialize the technology, which can quickly produce phrases and visuals. Bosworth, however, is adamant that Meta is still at the forefront of technology. "We feel very confident that... we are at the very forefront," he said. "Our teams invented a number of the techniques used in the construction of large language models. [I] anticipate that some of them [the commercialization of the technology] will begin this year. The generative AI team was just formed a few months ago, and they are now highly active. Along with Chris Cox, chief product officer, and Mark Zuckerberg, it's probably where I spend the most time.
Bosworth thinks that Meta's AI can increase an ad's performance in part by advising the advertiser on the tools to employ when creating it.
He claimed that a company could "ask the AI to make images for my company that work for different audiences" rather than employing a single image in a marketing campaign. Additionally, both time and money can be saved.
For Meta, advertising is the single biggest source of income. In the long run, the company wants to integrate this technology into all of its products and services, including Facebook and Instagram.
