AWS and Workday announced a strategic partnership to deliver business-ready AI capabilities

Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Workday recently announced they are partnering to enhance Workday's enterprise management services through advanced AI capabilities by combining AWS's cloud expertise with Workday's proficiency in HR and financial management solutions. Additionally, both companies will invest in sales and go-to-market strategies aimed at growing Workday's customer base and publicizing the availability of Workday on the AWS Marketplace.

The partnership's main focus will be to develop and deliver AI capabilities to customers quickly and efficiently. Workday leverages AWS technologies like Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker JumpStart to create AI-powered tools supporting workforce and financial asset management. Some examples of AI features already in place include tools that streamline the creation of job descriptions and employee talent highlights, and perform contract analysis for accurate revenue reporting. Workday will explore new AI applications and use cases, focusing on responsible AI implementation by working with the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center.

Finally, expanded native integrations will allow developers to build custom applications using Workday data and AWS services, improving efficiency and scalability. Moreover, Workday customers can use their data to develop custom applications in Workday Extend that leverage AWS technologies, such as AWS Lambda, Amazon EventBridge, Amazon Comprehend, Amazon S3, Amazon Textract, and Amazon Translate. By combining Workday's enterprise data expertise with AWS's cloud and AI capabilities, the partnership promises to deliver innovative solutions that address the evolving needs of modern businesses in managing their workforce and finances.
