Bertelsmann and ElevenLabs announce partnership to boost creativity and productivity
ElevenLabs and the European media company Bertelsmann have announced a partnership that enables Bertelsmann companies to leverage ElevenLabs' AI voice and audio solutions to simplify production workflows and unlock creativity and innovation without compromising quality.
Bertelsmann, a leading European media company and the owner of globally renowned media brands including RTL Group, book publisher Penguin Random House, and music giant BMG, has entered a partnership with ElevenLabs, an AI company famous for its industry-leading speech, audio, and music solutions. According to ElevenLabs, the partnership will focus on optimizing Bertelsmann companies' production workflows, widen the reach of the companies' content by making it accessible in audiences' native languages, and more generally, foster creativity by leveraging AI tools to simplify operations without losing quality.
Accordingly, ElevenLabs claims the partnership is not intended to replace creators, but to save them time they can reallocate to more rewarding tasks like shaping stories and refining scripts. Initially, the partnership will cover AI-powered voice and sound content production, with plans to expand into AI-generated music. ElevenLabs says that 36 Bertelsmann companies are currently using its AI-powered tools. One of the first results of the partnership is the German-language version of RTL's Myths and Monsters, a three-part documentary for the History Channel which was entirely dubbed using synthetic voices.
