Capsa AI secured £1.7M to transform private equity due diligence with AI
Capsa AI, a startup founded less than a year ago, has raised £1.7m in seed funding to expand its AI-powered platform that streamlines due diligence processes for private equity firms. The Capsa AI platform has demonstrated significant time savings for early adopters.
Capsa AI recently announced it closed a £1.7m seed funding round a mere eight months after its founding to accelerate its mission of revolutionizing due diligence in private equity. The startup has quickly gained traction since its inception, serving leading private equity (PE) funds managing over $30 billion across the US, UK, and Germany. Capsa's innovative platform leverages artificial intelligence to automate time-consuming, repetitive, low-skill due diligence tasks, allowing PE investors to focus on high-value activities.
Early adopters report impressive time savings of up to 20% in due diligence processes. They have also endowed the Capsa AI platform with 90% customer satisfaction scores, remarking on Capsa's consideration of private equity-specific and requirements workflows as a relevant differentiator from other AI-powered solutions which cater to the financial sector.
The funding round, led by Outward VC, saw participation from Cornerstone VC, Antler, and notable angel investors. Capsa AI plans to use the capital to expand its team, particularly in product engineering, and scale its operations. This will allow the startup to expand its market presence and build proprietary AI models to power its solutions which will go well beyond due diligence as Capsa AI co-founders Danyal Özdüzenciler and Callum Downie plan to leverage their powerful combination of PE industry experience and machine learning expertise to build more PE-specific features into their platform.
