The leading provider of misinformation-fighting solutions Logically recently announced it acquired Barcelona-based Insikt AI. The move is part of Logically's strategy to strengthen its research and development capabilities and expand its technology portfolio to deliver a competitive edge to customers. Founded in 2016, Insikt AI has built proprietary technology that leverages advanced Machine Learning (ML) models to uncover trends, threats, and anomalies within large volumes of online data. Insikt has been recognized with several EU and Spanish research grants and awarded four Seals of Excellence by the European Commission for its technology, and has gained recognition for its Social Network Analysis (SNA) capabilities.

After the acquisition, Logically plans to integrate Insikt's capabilties into its flagship Intelligence platform, enhancing customers' ability to tackle a broader range of online threats, including terrorism and extremism. Insikt AI co-founders Jennifer Woodard and Guillem Garcia will join Logically as VP of Artificial Intelligence and Head of Data Science, respectively, bringing their expertise in strategic AI leadership and cutting-edge data science research to Logically's operations.

"Integrating Insikt's advanced NLP and SNA technologies into Logically Intelligence® enhances our ability to detect and counteract threats early," said Lyric Jain, Founder and CEO of Logically. "This acquisition marks a crucial step toward providing robust protection against increasingly sophisticated adversaries."

The deal solidifies Logically's position as a leader in leveraging AI research to build solutions that effectively combat harmful online content at scale.
