Microsoft Designer is getting web and mobile apps and software integrations
Microsoft Designer's AI-powered image and generation capabilities are now generally available as web, iOS, and Android apps with support for over 80 languages. Additionally, Designer now integrates into Microsoft 365 through Microsoft Copilot for customers with a Copilot Pro subscription. This integration lets users describe the image they want Copilot to generate directly into Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft 365 workflows. A planned Word-specific feature will make it possible to ask Copilot for a banner based on the document's content. Microsoft plans to bring Designer integration to other Microsoft apps, starting with the Designer integration in Microsoft Photos, which is now available to Windows Insiders.
The app launch has brought new features to Designer, including a redesigned homepage; shareable prompt templates with ideas, styles, and descriptions to serve as inspiration to start creating; custom generations geared towards social and messaging apps like stickers, emoji, backgrounds, and more; personalized greeting card and invitation creation; image restyling capabilities, including custom frames and collages; and a background replacement tool. MicrosoftDesigner is available out-of-the-box with 15 free daily boosts for spending on edits or generations. A Copilot Pro subscription increases the number of daily boosts to 100.
