Microsoft timed a significant Copilot update to its Super Bowl ad launch
Microsoft's Super Bowl commercial features people's "watch me now" moments, whether it is graduating, learning something new, turning an idea into a business plan, or a storyboard into a movie. Thus, in the spirit of helping people attain the unattainable, it is only logical that the company would time a major update like the one just released to its ad's launch.
In addition to a revamped look and feel designed to improve Copilot's overall experience, the update introduces several new image generation capabilities. English language users in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, India, and New Zealand can now do inline editing of the images generated using Designer in Copilot. These include edits such as highlighting objects, background blurs, and applying different art styles or effects. The free usage tier for Copilot grants users 15 daily boosts, with subscribers to Copilot Pro getting 100 boosts plus the ability to resize images. Pro users are also entitled to faster, more detailed image generation.
In addition to these new features, Microsoft has also announced the upcoming launch of the Designer GPT within Copilot, described by Microsoft as "an immersive, dedicated canvas inside of Copilot where you can visualize your ideas." Copilot is available for all users on all major web browsers via copilot.microsoft.com or can be downloaded as an Android or iOS app.
