Ukraine-founded cybersecurity startup LetsData leverages cutting-edge AI technologies to analyze openly available data from over 100 million websites and social media platforms. More precisely, the startup's technology can process text and video metadata from social media platforms like Telegram, YouTube, and TikTok, and other types of websites to uncover the true intent behind organized disinformation campaigns. According to LetsData, its solution detects 80% more threats at early stages than alternative solutions, which enables organizations to take critical action before they are impacted by the harms of these operations.
LetsData emerged as a bootstrapped company during the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, a time in which the availability of a reliable tool set to manage malicious information operations became urgent. Motivated by this urgency, Ksenia Iliuk and Andriy Kusyy tasked themselves with building a security-first solution that could assist teams with limited resources combat sophisticated information threats and synthetic identity campaigns without the need for extensive training.
The new capital will support LetsData's plans to expand its market presence into the United States and Europe. It will also support the startup as it continues to build its threat detection capabilities. With its bootstrapping strategy and innovative technolgies, LetsData has earned investor confidence. Borys Musielak, founding partner at SMOK Ventures, commented on LetsData's journey thus far: "I was impressed by how Ksenia and Andriy bootstrapped LetsData to profitability before raising external funding. Their technology is already disrupting the InfoOps space, and with a growing list of high-value clients, this investment will help them scale to meet the increasing demand for their innovative solutions."
